Faith in God Girls "fashion show"

We encouraged the girls to be mindful of others who may not be as fortunate as them.  We challenged them to donate some of their clothes to a needy family.  We will follow up in the summer.
The fashion show was a success.  I asked Matias if he liked it and he said "yes, but it was to short" which obviously meant it was a pretty good show!!
Pili came home and was motivated  with two friends to throw another fashion show :)

Yo no quiero mas pescado

The kids love when I talk like a gringa (spanish with a super American accent)!  We kind of all crack ourselves up doing it!  The real funny thing is that Pili does it now and not on purpose!!  She mixes things up a lot and when she is speaking English and then all of the sudden says plato it comes out so plaaa-tO just  like my "pescado"

ps: I did use to speak Spanish like that for real.  I have videos when I was 18 that are sooo funny and soo Americana!!

yard sale valentine gifts

Sunday I happen to come across a garbage bag full of toys that I had bought at a yard sale so the kids got lucky and scored something for Valentine's day.
They played all morning with their new toys which worked out great for me since I had a lot to get ready for the class party and Faith in God girls

Faith in God Girls "heart attack"

My new calling (church assignment) FAITH IN GOD GIRLS and I hope I have it for a very long time!

I love these girls.  Today for Valentine\'s day we "heart attacked" a lady in our ward who is going through a divorce, works two jobs, and just started going back to school, and did I mention she has two boys ages 6 and 7.   She is seriously amazing and a good friend of mine so I was really excited to do this service project with the girls for her.
We had so much fun and it was intense because as we were leaving she was pulling in and I'm still amazed she didn't see us.  Two of the girls actually ran right past her.
We left her some cookies and other goodies and a coupon for a free house cleaning :)
I hope she felt some LOVE today!

(decided to make the hats with the girls today as well and they loved them just as much as the five year olds)

KNOCKED ON THE DOOR AND RAN!!

Valentine's day en la sala de Mati

Last minute I decided to make hats for the kids.  I took Matias to school, ran to the grocery store bought the paper plates, and then had less than an hour to get them cut out.
Thankfully it was totally worth it!  The kids loved them especially my Mati and since most everything I do is for him anyways I was ok that I about killed myself to get them done.
