Clyde's at Willow Creek farm: 4 buildings from the 18th and 19th century destined for demolition were turned into an amazing restaurant, with such a unique atmosphere.   There were so many antiques to look at that we played eye spy until Matias gave out!  He almost fell asleep before I got a chance to blow out the candle, but I wouldn't let him.  

I want to go back for some more bread pudding SOON!

Field day

I volunteered to help out at field day and I assumed I would be stuck at a station for two hours, and I wouldn't have minded as long as I got to see Mati participate in one of the events.

Well  I lucked up and they put me with the class so I got to go around to all the stations.  I had a blast and Matias was in his element.   I really love being with him in the school environment.  I wish I could help out more in the classroom, but the teacher just doesn't need much help since she has an aid and only has 15 students.

I'm looking forward to the field trip to DC in a few weeks.

I'm not sure who had more fun at Field day me or Mati!  I was kind of embarrassed when Mati's teacher asked me if I was a cheerleader; I like to be thought of more as an athlete !!

Back to work

I started taking care of Valentina, my next door neighbor's little girl.  She is 3 months.  I was very excited for the opportunity to make some extra money to help out with the extreme cost of living here in the Dc area, but honestly I was super anxious/nervous about having another baby around.  I feared losing the freedom that I have come to feel lately with a 3 and 5 year old who are becoming so independent.   Well like I always have, I am totally enjoying having a baby around!  Taking care of  Valentina has been such a pleasure the last two weeks.  The kids absolutely adore her and look forward to her arrival everyday, as do I.  This is so healthy for our family, and though I am not even making minimum wage I feel like one rich woman!

    We had so much fun shopping.  Valentina likes to be on the go so we stay busy

 Leila helping my bake birthday treats!  Pretzel rolo turtles so easy and delicious I ate so many I about made my self sick and I really don't do that to much.
